When rhetoric around refugees turned caustic and political, a group of creatives and refugees got together to develop a campaign that celebrates their stories. Papel y Caneta tapped talent in advertising, film and marketing to brainstorm what we could do that would bring pride and meaning to the conversation.
We tackled negative stereotypes about Refugees with this short film that interviews over 18 subjects and celebrates their stories. My role was providing creative strategy to the campaign and directing this short film. Music provided by Refugee Orchestra Project.
