Snapchat approached the agency Specialguest with a fun challenge. To capture the spirit of the brand's collaboration with Pepsi that resulted in scores of unique filters that fans could unlock with various drinks from the Pepsi brand. Each filter was unique and limited edition, so the emphasis was on exploration and fun. Specialguest tapped me to direct the series.
This was a great joy for me as a director, because we cast a vibrant group of improv performers that I was familiar with. I love directing comedy, because your main job (besides the nitty gritty of staging and production) is to laugh with the cast and encourage them to have fun. Specialguest is a great agency and I always enjoy the opportunity to work with them. This series was a blast.
